Richard Deakin

Chief Operating Officer

Richard Deakin is an international security leader from the United Kingdom and a high-risk security advisor with over 20 years of experience operating on the frontline of complex and high-risk environments, including conflict zones, humanitarian emergencies, and disaster response operations.


A former member of the British Armed Forces with operational deployments overseas, Richard brings a disciplined, intelligence-led approach to security governance, crisis leadership, and operational planning within complex and volatile theatres.


Following his military service, he worked in the telecommunications sector as a Senior Project Manager, leading large-scale infrastructure programmes before transitioning into the international security industry.


Richard has supported global media organisations, humanitarian agencies, and high-risk operations across Ukraine, Israel, Iraq, and Gaza, including disaster response during the 2023 Turkey earthquake.


In 2025, he deployed to Gaza as International Security Manager for World Central Kitchen, overseeing security frameworks supporting humanitarian operations within an active combat environment. In this role, he led security governance, movement coordination, and risk mitigation frameworks enabling the safe delivery of humanitarian aid and large-scale food distribution to communities across Gaza.


Richard specialises in operational leadership, high-risk environment management, crisis response, and security governance frameworks that enable organisations to operate effectively in complex and rapidly evolving environments.
