Danny Mayho
Regional Operations Manager
Danny is a seasoned security professional with extensive experience leading high-risk, high-threat operations across commercial, media, and humanitarian sectors. Following distinguished service in the British Armed Forces, including multiple operational deployments, he transitioned to the private security industry, specializing in personal protection and high-risk environments, which formed the foundation of his career in complex security operations.
At the onset of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Danny served as a High-Risk Security Advisor for Emerald Solutions, supporting major international media organizations including CNN, The New York Times, and other high-profile outlets in frontline areas of Ukraine. He played a pivotal role in enabling teams to produce historic coverage under extreme conditions, notably facilitating CNN's groundbreaking live broadcast from the center of Kherson during its liberation—the first major media outlet to achieve this milestone and deliver real-time reporting to global audiences.
Promoted to Ukraine Operations Manager at Emerald Solutions, Danny gained critical expertise in operational security oversight, risk mitigation, and crisis management in dynamic high-threat settings. He successfully aligned client requirements with rigorous security protocols, ensuring mission success and the safe execution of high-profile assignments.
Since late 2025, Danny has served as International Security Manager alongside colleagues Steve and Rich, supporting World Central Kitchen (WCK)'s humanitarian aid missions in Gaza. In this capacity, he leads activation, security operations planning, and risk management in Gaza's rapidly evolving high-threat environment. His responsibilities include coordinating aid procurement, secure transit logistics, and on-ground deployment to advance WCK's objective of delivering 1 million meals to displaced populations, while prioritizing team safety and operational resilience amid ongoing challenges.
